Insomnia
It was 230am when Mark woke me up. It's 424am now. I don't know if I will go back to sleep. The world according to Aaron is soooo distorted these past few days. The wheel is spinning and I am getting dizzy....
AT 11am today we are having another open house. But before that I a real Estate agent is coming by to see the property. I am not sure why they can't wait 2 hours and see it when everybody else does. It's not like we are going to accept any offers before they do the walk through.
Anyway, I don't have a clue where to go. The kids will be in full force. I will be wiped out. Kim will be working.
This process is so upsetting to Kim and I. Nobody needs to go through this. It is an absolute stress ache. Need to make some coffee...

Home
Well the house sold 3 days ago. Our real estate agent told us of the offer. We found the number to be agreeable. So the agent came over at 10pm and we signed the papers.
Today we found that the buyers wanted to pull out of the deal. They said that the design of the house wouldn't allow for the kind of remodel they were planning on. Fun. This year really is full of wondrous surprises of stinky!
Tomorrow is the next round of open houses. I feel like a zombie. I am so depressed about having to sell and move.

Van Gogh
I woke up and got ready for work in the quiet house. It is strange to wake up and not recognize the home that you have lived in for 5 years. Stranger to think that we will be living somewhere else this time next year.
The cat seems to know that we are moving. He was very sympathetic this morning. He sat by me sensing my dread of the future. He patiently stared at me with those piercing eyes. He wouldn't stop. He just seemed to be telling me. "Good Morning Aaron...It's going to be fine....Now feed me"

First Open House
This weekend is the first open house, so we left last night from San Jose to go to Chico. We left at 7pm and made it up in about 4 hours. I was fueled by my new Starbucks mug filled with the crazy go juice. Kim was fueled by a Dr. Pepper and the kids were fueled by a heavy dose of "are we there yet question sessions." By the time we made it to Highway 32 in Orland I was ready to cut my eye lids off to lighten the burden on my head.
In some sense, it was bad timing to come to Chico this weekend because the family that is up here is busy living their lives. That is fine though. The kids want to go to caper acres and mom wants to go to thrift shops to hunt for cashmere sweaters. She is going to gut the thread and give it a new life.
Right now the kids are destroying the bedroom of Elliot and quickly flanking to the outer rooms on a seek and destroy mission. It's only 9Am and child war fare is going to drive us to the side walks of Chico. Are main objective for this weekend was to avoid the mess that the children would make on the house. So now we are at Chris and Kim's house and fighting that fight here....

Moving 4
Craig is at my house right now cleaning the fish tank that is in bad
need of some work. I want to bring the tank to the next place. Kim
thinks we should leave it. Hella.
The plumber is coming back to look at the sink again. It is leaking water a bit. Nothing like last minute repairs to sell a house.
Gary our realtor had it listed on MLS today. It won't be open for
viewing for a few days. That is fine. We need to clean the closets out.

Moving 3
Wow I am cooked. I think I was up at 6am and packing up the house by 630. The house is more or less ready to show to rich people who can afford to buy it. We are going to list it at 669000. I really hope we can get that number.
Today we had the house cleaners come and spiff up the nasty bits. The kids went to grandma's house for a 3rd day. That woman is a rock star!!! I will head to work tomorrow. Craig is going to come and clean my tank and take my truck to the dump to unload the trash in the back. The house will be listed on MLS tomorrow.

Moving 2
More prep work to get the house on the market by Monday. We had the gardeners come and clean out the yard and mulch. The kids went to grandma's for a second day. Kim was feeling good enough to go out and do some shopping with Sharon. I went to the storage unit. Fun.
Last night Matt Sorensen came by and helped move some furniture rearranging. He then showed off his manly calves by vacuuming while drinking a brown ale. His audience, Kim, Susan, and Aaron were very impressed with his power.

Halloween Fishing
So Kim came home from the hospital last night. My brother Tim, who came dowm from chico to help out while Kim was in the hospital, left shortly after eating some bagels. He was a huge moral support for me and the kids, dats4sure! Thanks Tim. Thanks everybody.
Anyway after bagels I loaded the kids up in the car and took them fishing at Parkway Lakes.

We brought the Spider-man and Cinderella fishing poles, a bucket, and some diaper wipes.
At first Elisa didn't want to go on the trip because she didn't want to miss trick or treatin. In the end she made it. When we first got their the lady running the cash register, was dressed as a witch and gave the kids some candy. They picked out fishing bobber and then it was time to fish.
When we got to the sure catch pond, there was a European family struggling to learn the english words that are used in fishing. We waited for a bit and then it was our time to catch the fishy. I asked who wanted to fish first and Elisa jumped at the chance.

I think Elisa was suprised at the power of the fish. It kind of spooked her.
When she hooked her first fish, she reeled it to the side of the pond and then asked me to finish bringing it in. After that she was a little shy for about 10 minutes. Mark stood by in shock as the fish jumped and splashed.
After we got the first fish in the bucket both the kids ran up to get a closer look. They jumped about 3 feet when the bugger splashed them with a few shakes of the tail. They got a great laugh out of that.
Mark really was amped to get his turn. The night crawler he had was a long one. In fact he decided it was a Snake and not a worm. When he hooked his first fish he was confused. He didn't expect the fish to pull so hard. It was funny and then frustrating to him that he couldn't just reel the fish in.

At the end of the hour and a half, the kids had caught 5 nice rainbow trout.

ER
Kim has had headaches since July. She had a blood patch done to fix a suspected tear in the neck area of her spinal colum. It didn't work. The headaches got worse and last Thursday her doctor told her that she needed to go the emergency room. So Kim went to the ER. She spent 2 long nights there. The nurses told her that the hospital was full for H1n1 patients. Her roomate had pneumonia. Kim's doctor ordered 3 hours worth of MRI's. Kim hates MRI. She survived them and in the end the doctor found some Cysts growing on her spine. These Cysts are most likely the cause to the leaking spinal fluid. Lets hope they are because they are treatable!
