2014 Oscars

Sunday Morning, I sit here with puppies and coffee. It's the day all of the world it seems drops what they are doing so that they can see actors cry and blow smoke up each others asses. It's the Oscars. In an hour, I will be heading off to my edit suite to help promote the importance of the Hollywood Circus Clowns. Red carpets, freshly bleached teeth, and a finely tuned fake laughs, is pretty much the norm. I will be editing down sound bites from the red carpet and showing off the beautiful threads of those in attendance. I guess it's a version of instant replay.

11:00am: Getting my Haircut

Here is what Kimberly my stylist came up with:  (Shirt by Hurley)

1:42pm: Eat Greek Food. Just given the debrief. I will be cutting together Ellen  moments, interviews on the red carpet, and winner reactions.

2:06pm: Red Carpet Feed is coming in from LA. Producer is picking music

2:43pm: No red carpet moments still. Celebs are still drinking heavily. My Final Cut Sequences are ready.

3:18pm Control Room 1. Stress level at Defcon 1. All systems running. A producer is missing, might be puking in the bathroom.

3:23pm

OUR FIRST INTERVIEW!! Go Wolfgang. 300 chefs making food under his guidance

3:42: The dudes carrying the ballots just showed up. They have a metric ton of security

3:45pm  Rehersal 2 happening in studio 1.They have no makeup and cuss more when the mess up.

4:14pm: I just burped a ridiculous gaseous greek burp in my edit room.

4:27pm The executive producer is pacing the halls looking for more stuff to freak me out with.

4:40pm Just edited Dana Brunetti talking about the focus puller who puked on Tom Hanks during the filming of Captain Phillips.

4:43pm Producer doesn't want to use the Brunetti interview after I finished cutting it.
The crowd on the red carpet is getting way loud. No wonder stars do drugs

653pm: Cutting and cutting and cutting

9:07pm: Finished the last edit after the producer stressed a bit. We made the deadline but the edit never made it to Air because of mistakes by others. Oh well. A day of editing for my own entertainment. At least I liked it.

11:00pm Home in bed. The Mistake Makers wanted to make more edits at 10pm. I politely cried no. I hope they are done by 12am.

Fun times in the live world. Signing out.

Boonen Re-Tires

Here is another video from the Specialized Film Department. We spent about a week putting this thing together. This does not include all the interviews, testing on the cobbles or trips to the coffee machine. In other words it was a week of editing.

Sea Otter Classic 2012: XC

Another Video from the Weekend at the Sea Otter Classic 2012. I like this piece but hate the music. Bummer! Sometimes the turnaround time is so fast you kinda have to make mistakes like this...
Oh well!
