Loma Fire

Loma Prieta mountain caught on fire two days ago. Now the fire has burned about 2200 acres. It's weird to think that a road I was riding my bike last week is closed because it's in the path of the fire . Today the smoke was pouring into our parking lot and it ash was covering our cars. Took this picture yesterday from our back parking lot

This is a random picture I found on the Internet taken yesterday

CGot new iPhones after 3 years. Them 4's were good little phones. Let's hope this 6 is as strong.

Today is also the Elisa's bday! Happy bday. Adam leaves Specialized today. And Phish is playing SF on Monday. Stock up on hippie repellent.

We Escaped

We escaped the yard today.. The neighbor caught Tom, but Jerry went bargain hunting at the dollar tree across a 6 lane road.

22 Miles for Coffee

5am for a ride to work. 22 miles in 30 degree temperatures with my co worker Marissa. Coffee is awesome to warm the brain systems.

Win Tunnel

Every few weeks we post these videos detailing how our products can save you time and energy.  Kinda a crazy world of math and science these Aerodynamicists live in. They also ride really really fast.

Live from 2015 The Specialized Awards

Running the digital switcher. Trips me out how technology has shrunk this old television standard down to a 13 inch screen.

Josh calling the shots. Not taking any though.

Old Dog, New Park

Made it down to Cunningham Skate Park and had an insane night.  Skating a full pipe must be done by everyone at least once in their life.  This place has some very intense vert and equally intense skaters.  I did fall.  And yes it fucking hurt. I need to heal quickly. I want more.

Here is the pool that killed me. This sucker was about 10 feet deep with a foot of vert.

Here is the funnest bowl I have ever skated.

Here is the rehab session 3 days later.

2014 Oscars

Sunday Morning, I sit here with puppies and coffee. It's the day all of the world it seems drops what they are doing so that they can see actors cry and blow smoke up each others asses. It's the Oscars. In an hour, I will be heading off to my edit suite to help promote the importance of the Hollywood Circus Clowns. Red carpets, freshly bleached teeth, and a finely tuned fake laughs, is pretty much the norm. I will be editing down sound bites from the red carpet and showing off the beautiful threads of those in attendance. I guess it's a version of instant replay.

11:00am: Getting my Haircut

Here is what Kimberly my stylist came up with:  (Shirt by Hurley)

1:42pm: Eat Greek Food. Just given the debrief. I will be cutting together Ellen  moments, interviews on the red carpet, and winner reactions.

2:06pm: Red Carpet Feed is coming in from LA. Producer is picking music

2:43pm: No red carpet moments still. Celebs are still drinking heavily. My Final Cut Sequences are ready.

3:18pm Control Room 1. Stress level at Defcon 1. All systems running. A producer is missing, might be puking in the bathroom.

OUR FIRST INTERVIEW!! Go Wolfgang. 300 chefs making food under his guidance

3:42: The dudes carrying the ballots just showed up. They have a metric ton of security

3:45pm  Rehersal 2 happening in studio 1.They have no makeup and cuss more when the mess up.

4:14pm: I just burped a ridiculous gaseous greek burp in my edit room.

4:27pm The executive producer is pacing the halls looking for more stuff to freak me out with.

4:40pm Just edited Dana Brunetti talking about the focus puller who puked on Tom Hanks during the filming of Captain Phillips.

4:43pm Producer doesn't want to use the Brunetti interview after I finished cutting it.
The crowd on the red carpet is getting way loud. No wonder stars do drugs

653pm: Cutting and cutting and cutting

9:07pm: Finished the last edit after the producer stressed a bit. We made the deadline but the edit never made it to Air because of mistakes by others. Oh well. A day of editing for my own entertainment. At least I liked it.

11:00pm Home in bed. The Mistake Makers wanted to make more edits at 10pm. I politely cried no. I hope they are done by 12am.

Fun times in the live world. Signing out.

The pre lunch

MTB The Yahoo.

2 weeks left on the Yahoo gig! It's always  best to  take advantage of the time  you have to explore new areas. Mountain Bikes are awesome for that. Watch out for hunters though.

2013 Sea Otter Classic Downhill Finals

Here is the Downhill final from Sunday...

Sunday, April 21, 2013

Specialized Video went to the Sea Otter Classic again. This time we had 3 Cameramen,  at least 5 different cameras, a hackintosh (built by Vogel), shade, 17 atheletes, and a new race trailer.

This is Vogel hanging out in the Edit Suite on the last day of 6 days of continuous shooting.  We had plenty of beer and cookies.

The Hackintosh and a TS3 Cine high speed camera.

Clayton and Vogel looking at Pictures from the Dual Slalom race.

I have a drive filled with 300 TB of media from this last week of shooting. I will have a lot of cuts
put together this coming week. These are 2 that I finished at the event:

Check out this blog. John the Specialized Website Ninja created it. There seems to be an abundance of uses for the milk crate.  Here you will see that John used to have a lot of time on his hands...
